Egos stay at the door. Train hard in a supportive, welcoming environment where teammates become lifelong friends.
Master takedowns, control, and submissions safely with partners who look out for your success. No gi means faster pace, cleaner mechanics.
Grind on the mats during scheduled times, and hit the gym equipment whenever fits your lifestyle—day or night. Both included in one membership.
From absolute beginners to seasoned athletes, everyone is part of the crew. Show up in workout clothes; the mat will teach you the rest.

Absolutely. Most of our members started as complete beginners. Coaches introduce fundamentals safely, and training partners look out for each other. Your first class is free—come see how the room feels.
No gi jiu-jitsu is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) trained without the traditional gi (jacket-and-pants uniform). You wear shorts and a rashguard or t-shirt. Movement tends to be faster, and there are no lapels or sleeves to grip. It's the same grappling art—takedowns, control, submissions—just modernized and typically less gear-heavy for beginners.
No. Bring comfortable athletic clothes (workout shorts or leggings, a t-shirt or rashguard). We have mats. Once you decide to stick with it, most people pick up a rashguard and grappling shorts—nothing expensive, nothing required day one.
Jiu-jitsu is one of the safer martial arts to train—no strikes to the head, submissions are applied slowly, and you tap out any time you feel pressure. Coaches emphasize control over intensity, especially with newer folks. Injuries happen most often when people go too hard too early; we don't run the room that way.
Text or call Adam at (740) 971-8990 for current pricing on the Jiu-Jitsu & Gym Combo membership (unlimited jiu-jitsu classes + open mats + 24/7 access to the full Stay Fit gym). Month-to-month, no contract, no cancellation fee.
Two classes a week is a great starting cadence. Three plus open mats accelerates progress noticeably. Consistency matters more than intensity—showing up regularly beats going hard once and disappearing for a month.
The scheduled No Gi Jiu-Jitsu classes are adult-focused. For younger athletes, Stay Fit runs a separate Youth Athletics program twice a week. Text (740) 971-8990 if you'd like to discuss a kid's fit.
We train at Stay Fit Training Center, 1088 Mt Vernon Ave, Marion, OH 43302. Members come from Marion and throughout Marion County, plus the surrounding communities of Delaware, Galion, Bucyrus, Upper Sandusky, Caledonia, and Prospect.
Dedicated matted space. Enter through the main entrance—the mats are on the left.
Come for the martial arts, stay for the community. First class is on us.
